Prescription of interdisciplinarity

Irony in the prescription of interdisciplinary thinking, both for the individual and institution, as by having to actively contrive the thinking between discipline areas goes against the grain of the notion itself.

    I was thinking about this too…even if we restructured institutions along holistic lines, banning the term ‘discipline’ (which would be a contrivance anyway), individuals and groups would still need some sort of rationale for experiment, to limit themselves in some way…
