On the MOOC this week there was a very interesting forum thread titled ‘Are some media more ‘human’ than others?’ which considered among other things the power allocation of the binary text vs image. I like this marketing advertisement from Sky as it amalgamates both elements.

    What a great visual artefact! (hesitant to say advert, as I am no more likely to buy Sky products as a result, but I really like the effect!) links very nicely to ethnography this week – words used to recount an experience of being there, but with a closed loop effect of layering back ontop of the visual representation whilst still retaining the ‘from their eyes’ perspective – how lovely!
