If using imagination: if we can rebuild, repair, replace human tissue, would human matter become obsolete, secondary to synthetic? This dystopian view can be balanced with utopian expectations. The success of the 2012 paralympic games, and the raised profiles of the athletes with prosthetic limbs was an amazing achievement for the sportsmen and women but also for the scientists who refined the products. What will we see in Brasil 2016?... exciting! (I meant organic earlier on)…. It really does start to question the 'line' of the digital - when the digitally augmented human is as human as both man and machine, does the distinction no longer matter? ... Could this become a more Babylon 5-like society, of various human-like forms?! I guess we only have our imagination for now, and time to wait and see! :P This is so exciting – I thought the spray on plaster was an excellent modern-day conception, but spray on bone or printing cell matter is quite a different feat.

One day will we be able to print anything? Complete and total end of the industrial revolution and a back away from the economy of the spectacle...
