I also love the idea of layering the piece with audio. I guess that the time spent over the past two weeks had taken its toll on me and I could only focus on one 'layer' at a time - think that I'll be getting my mind round the core concepts for a while yet! As Chantelle mentioned, you very well touched upon all the strands not easy with so much being discussed. How about layering the sonnet with a piece of electronic music? https://soundcloud.com/tinlicker/04-tinlicker-applejuice-final?in=tinlicker/sets/tinlicker-remember-the [a minimal techno track by Dutch artist 'tinlicker' (Micha Heyboer) and the album entitled 'Remember the Future'.] Nikki, this is super. I thought it might be fun to experiment with a structure I have no real experience with and settled on a sonnet. That's what I love about EDC...there are no hardcore boundaries set before us so the practice of dipping one's toes into unanticipated waters is encouraged and comfortable. I haven't a poetic bone in my body [trust me!] so for me it is the experimentation element that gave light to the above. Wow, this is very good, Nikki. Inspiring. You have managed to include all important components into this one flowing poetry. That’s post-human isn’t it?
