Is the Device the Grammar of Modality?

What mediates the constant flow of information, a device or an application? Without grammar, language (lets say English) would carry little meaning. So does this mean if we can locate the grammar of modality we can control mean making through Modality?

    That is a very interesting way of looking at meaning making. Certainly there are sets of rule governing each modality perhaps that would act like grammar?

      Modality must need constraints to carry meaning, and to what extent is that constraint shared? Critical design may provide some answers…
