Week 10 – review
This week has been spent (still) on posthumanism. I’ve found myself more interested in the arguments theorising posthumanism than on picturing the posthuman itself. Castree & Nash’s discussion has been enlightening and has taken me out of the subject to delve into the writings of Deleuze, Guttari, Lyotard and more. Names that I’ve come across, but have never explored.
My tumblog has been quiet, but I have been working on another digital artefact which has taken longer than expected and is not quite ready yet. However, I have talked about some aspects of posthumanism in ‘In-between spaces’ which attempted to demonstrate a number of blurred boundaries. And I’ve provided a counterpoint for the tutorial devil, by unexpectedly receiving a cloud on the front page of my phone. This phenomenon got me thinking about enveloping networks within the city, and perhaps this may be an aspect that I’ll look at for my final assignment.
